Coming up this month at Brooklyn Jubilee...

Love. Pray. Give.

Brooklyn Jubilee invites you to be a part of our Love. Pray. Give. campaign today! A gift to Brooklyn Jubilee enables us to provide needed services to hundreds of low-income Brooklynites in need through our legal, health, and nutrition services.

How your gifts help:

1. Your gifts help us provide free healthy, nutritious diabetic-friendly meals in the Flatbush and Brownsville neighborhoods. These communities have some of the highest rates of diabetes and hypertension in the borough.

2. Your gifts help us to provide needed medical screenings for high blood pressure and diabetes to neighbors in Flatbush and Brownsville. The leading cause of death in Brooklyn is heart disease and the fourth leading cause of death is diabetes.

3. Your gifts help us to provide free legal help desks in Coney Island, Flatbush, and Brownsville to low-income Brooklynites who are facing housing and pubilc benefits difficulties. About 1.2 million low-income New Yorkers had three or more legal issues per year year, our neighbors have real need for free legal advice and representation.

New year, expanded services!

In 2013, Brooklyn Jubilee and its partners serviced several neighborhoods and over 500 families in many Brooklyn neighborhoods including Coney Island, Sheepshead Bay, Canarsie, Flatbush, and Brownsville. We also recovered or avoided over $237,000 in Coney Island! You can learn more about our work with Sandy survivors in Coney Island by visiting our Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts page.

This year, Brooklyn Jubilee is expanding its services to meet the needs of more residents in the great borough of Brooklyn. We are expanding our community meal program to host 11 community meals in 2014! These meals will occur monthly at alternating locations in Flatbush and Brownsville. We are also offering blood pressure screenings and more at these meals. We are also continuing our legal services with a bi-weekly help desk in Coney Island and Flatbush as well as special events in Canarsie, Sheepshead Bay, and Brownsville. We look forward to seeing you there!

Check here and our events page frequently for updates on our programs!
