The Ministry of Brooklyn Jubilee
Mission Statement
Brooklyn Jubilee is a Christian organization formed for the purpose of cultivating healthy neighborhoods in Brooklyn, and promoting peace and prosperity for all of Brooklyn by creating and nurturing programs for social and economic justice.
The purposes of Brooklyn Jubilee are
(1) to advocate and provide for the needs of low-income Brooklyn residents.
(2) to conduct activities to foster peaceful resolution of conflict between Brooklyn residents, and
(3) to support Brooklyn religious organizations, schools, and non-profit organizations in their service to the community, particularly those organizations who are serving the needs of low-income Brooklyn residents.
To serve our community, we've initiated two programs.
The Brooklyn Jubilee Legal Services Ministry
Brooklyn Jubilee's first program began in August 2006 - a legal services ministry, providing advice to low-income tenants at the Helping Hands food pantry, operated by St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn. We have since begun working with the Russian-speaking community in Brighton Beach and the Arab-speaking community in Bay Ridge, advising tenants about their rights to safe affordable housing.

Brooklyn Jubilee Promotes Affordable Housing in Brooklyn
Brooklyn Jubilee aims to promote affordable housing development. We actively support affordable housing development by working with organizations like the Fifth Avenue Committee, a long-time affordable housing developer in South Brooklyn.
